Bharat Ratna:It is the highest civilian award given in India for extraordinary service in any field of human endeavor. This year it has been given to Sachin tendulakar and C.N.R.Rao who is a chemist and he has written more than 1500 research papers.
Pama vibushan: It is the highest civilian award given in India and it is conferred to B.K.S.Iyengar(Yoga master).
Nobel prize:It is given each year in international recognition of achievement in Physics,Chemistry,Economics,peace and Literature.This year noble prize for peace is given to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai.Kailash Satyarthi is a child rights activist and he is famous for his ‘Save the Child movement. Malala is the girl who stood for the rights of taliban girl in pakistan and she is even got shot by Tabiban while doing so. Noble prize for Economics is given to Jean Tirole for analysis of market power and regulation.Noble prize for Physics is shared by Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano and Shuji Nakamura for the invention of blue LED. Noble prize for Chemistry is shared by Eric Betzig, Stefan W. Hell and William E. Moerne for the invention of super resolved fluorescence microscope.Noble prize for Medicine is shared by John O’Keefe, May-Britt Moser and Edvard I. Moser for the discovery of cells that helps in Brian Positioning System.Noble prize for Literature is given to Patrick Modiano.
Field medal 2014 also known as Nobel prize for mathematics is given to a mathematician of Indian origin named Manujul Bhargava for his work on Information science.
Other awards: Inspector Shakthi Devi has been awarded “International Peacekeeper award”. “Windhouse” authored by Kaushik Baurna has won Shatiya academy award. Richard Flanagan’s “the narrow road to the north” has won booker prize this year.
